like 99.9% of the american population, this holiday season i also became an owner of the perfect brownie pan. okay, maybe i exaggerated a little with the percentage. but i was using my best guess based on the number of stores that were sold out.
do i like it?
sure.
does it make a better brownie?
it does when i use my supersecret 'oh so fudgy' cream cheese brownie recipe!

supersecret 'oh so fudgy' cream cheese brownie recipe
ingredients:
1 c butter
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c granulated sugar
1 t vanilla extract
5 eggs
1/2 c all-purpose flour
8 oz cream cheese, room temp
pinch of salt
dusting of cocoa powder
instructions:
1. preheat oven to 325°. spray 9x13 baking pan with non-stick oil, dust lightly with cocoa powder.
2. melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler over medium-low heat, stirring until well blended.
3. remove butter/chocolate mixture from heat, cool to room temperature + stir in 1 c sugar.
4. add 4 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. stir in flour.
6. spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
time to make the cream cream topping...
1. stir together 1/2 c sugar, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 egg + 1 t vanilla extract. mix until creamy.
2. spoon dollops of the cream cream topping evenly over the brownie mixture. then with a table knife or wooden skewer, swirl the two batters to create a marblized effect.
bake in a 325° oven for about 45-50 minutes or until brownie feels dry on top. let cool, top with ice cream + andiamo a mangiare!
